We're totally honored to have a wonderful and generous sponsor for the Barcamp Liverpool party. Microsoft is sponsoring the Barcamp party which means we'll be able to do all the lovely things that will make it special: nowax DJ sessions, Pacemaker DJ sessions courtesy of the lovely Ian Forrester from BBC Backstage, plus DJ Conrad, one of Liverpool's finest and plenty of 'refreshments'. Well it is the Christmas party season!

Startup Stars

The Barcamp Liverpool Party also features the "Startup Stars" competition. Early on Saturday we'll hold a 1 minute pitch competition to select 5 startups to go through to the final. The final sees startups getting their 5 minutes of fame pitching to a wise panel of experts: from local support organisations, successful startups, and venture funds (names to be confirmed soon). Presenters compete to win brilliant prizes - (so far we're being a bit secretive but all will be revealed soon!) Winners will be chosen on both substance and style - so polish those presentation skills to win!
